How did you two meet?
Me and Jackson met after he slid into my messages on Facebook. We arranged a date at a local pub and I was so nervous I was over an hour late and he was thinking I stood him up… I’m not sure how I managed to secure a second date but I did!
What about the proposal, how did it go?
The proposal was perfect, it was during lock down. After two cancelled trips to New York and Vegas due to Covid, Jackson decided to take it into his own hands and it was at home with just the two of us and our fur baby Rupert. Jackson had decorated the whole house with balloons and decorations, he cooked me a lovely meal and turned the kitchen into a rave for once he popped the question. Rupert was wearing a Bandana which said will you marry my dad! It was amazing.
Tell us about your venue and why you chose it?
Our wedding venue was Oaklands Grand Lodge in Brandesburton. On the first visit we instantly knew we would be choosing this venue. It was absolutely beautiful. We were drawn in by the modern features of the grand lodge and the outside ceremony area overlooking a beautiful pond.
What was your wedding style/inspo?
Our wedding style was classic and timeless to tie in with the venue. Our colour scheme was dusky pinks with a hint of sage green.
Tell us about your dress!
The wedding dress I chose was Alegra by Eva Lendel. I had this dress saved in my favourites ever since I got engaged in 2021 a long with plenty of others. I always imagined myself in a lace dress but as soon as I tried Alegra on, I instantly knew she was the one. I was in love! I loved the simplicity of the dress but she still stood out with her over skirt and large bow. I paired Alegra with a pearl embellished veil and it complimented the dress perfectly!
What was your favourite part of your wedding day?
My favourite part of the wedding day although it’s hard to choose would be walking down the aisle and seeing Jackson’s face for the first time. We had a morning full of torrential rain however as soon as the ceremony started the sun shone . It will be a memory I will never forget.
Any changes? (Things you wish you’d done or wish you hadn’t!)
I wouldn’t change a single thing from the day wedding day. It was perfect.
Any tips for brides to be?
My tips for future brides would be, enjoy the lead up to the wedding. I was insanely stressed and there was no need to be, everything turned out perfect. Enjoy and saviour the day as much as possible because it goes so quickly.
