How did you two meet?
How we met wasn't exactly romantic but probably fairly common in this day and age. It all began on Facebook back in 2013, and it's amazing to realise that 11 years have flown by since we embarked on this journey together! Having mutual friends certainly made getting to know each other easier too.
And as the saying goes, the rest is history!
How did you know he was the one?
After meeting Chris, it didn't take long for me to notice that we have a striking similarity in personalities! Whenever we are together, laughter fills the air and, in that moment, I just knew he was the one.
What about the proposal, how did it go?
The proposal was incredibly intimate, with just the two of us and our beloved cat on a quiet Friday morning. He surprised me with breakfast in bed before calling me downstairs, where I saw him down on one knee, holding our precious Misty in one hand and the most amazing ring in the other. It was the most perfect moment, exactly as I had always envisioned.
Tell us about your venue.
The Parsonage Hotel and Spa was our venue. It is a charming country Manor House with stunning outdoor grounds, perfect for capturing those intimate couple photos at sunset. It exceeded all our expectations and truly was everything we had ever dreamed of.
What was your wedding style/inspo?
For our colour scheme we opted for white, sage green and a touch of pink. Our aim was to create a clean and elegant look that would enhance our beautiful venue and it's amazing character.
Tell us about your dress!
My wedding dress was truly a dream come true! It took some time to find, with multiple visits to bridal shops. But as soon as I tried on the Enzoani Love Alara at Elizabeth Kate, within minutes I had that instant realisation that this was the dress I had been searching for. From the intricate lace to the stunning low cut back, everything about it was simply perfect.
What was your favourite part of your wedding day?
Selecting a favourite moment from our special day is quite challenging, as every minute was truly unforgettable. However, one particular memory that stands out is when we were introduced as the new Mr & Mrs Heppenstall. Walking into our wedding breakfast hand in hand surrounded by our cheering loved ones, remains a moment etched in my mind that I will always cherish.
Any changes? (Things you wish you'd done or wish you hadn't!)
I wouldn't change a single thing about our wedding day – it was simply the best day of my life.
Any tips for brides to be?
Savor every moment of your special day! Believe me, it passes by in the blink of an eye. Find a quiet 10 minutes where you can be alone with your HUSBAND to reflect, chat, and truly absorb the reality of being married. Remember, all the stress from wedding planning will undoubtedly be worth it in the end.
