How did you two meet?
Our love story started in a local bar when we were only in our early 20s. We were introduced by our friends . Some would say it was a blind date. Well on my part anyways. As Sam did his research before I met him that night.
What about the proposal, how did it go?
If you were to ask Sam he would say I was a nightmare. He proposed while we were on holiday in Dubai. But before we went on holiday he had it all planned of when and how he was going to do it. Apparently I was being hard work and changing the plans, so he had to constantly change his plans of when and where he was going to ask the question. If you were to ask me.. I would say it was amazing as he popped the question on a private yacht in the middle of the palm. I don’t think i could ask for a better proposal if i tried. So clearly i helped him plan the best ever, even if i didn’t know it was going to happen
Tell us about your venue.
The venue we decided to use for our special day was called Beverley barn. It’s a lovely converted barn, with amazing landscape and to top it off it has the amazing golden hour of sunsets. Which was perfect for us. Myself and Sam are big fans of watching the sun set.
What was your wedding style/inspo?
The inspo I had for the wedding was clean, fresh, white and nude tones very boho theme. Our flower arrangement and stylist Clare and Adele used pampas’s grass as our main flower with white Roses. The bridesmaid and groomsmen all matched in with these theme with cream suits and nude tone bridesmaid dresses. When it was all pulled together it just looked amazing
Tell us about your dress!
The dress! Where do I start! I am someone who has a vision in their head and that is what I need to create. Even if this doesn’t exist. When I first went to Elizabeth Kate they had their work cut out with me. The dress I had in my head just didn’t exists. I knew I wanted lace and the dress to be open back, but I knew I didn’t want the traditional white. The girls are like fairy god mothers they really got my vision and was able to create the dream dress I imagined. The girls really went above and beyond to make this Elysee Etoile Cameron Wedding Dress unique for me
What was your favourite part of your wedding day?
My favourite part about the wedding day was being able to marry my soul mate in front of all of our friends and family. Myself and Sam have been together for 12 years so I waited a long time for this day. I loved that both of us didn’t want the full traditional wedding but wanted some aspects of this. We did our own vows which was lovely.
Any changes? (Things you wish you’d done or wish you hadn’t!)
I wish we could have a two day wedding as gosh that wedding day goes so quickly haha. Other than that I think everything we did was very us and that was the aim for the day. We wanted our guests to walk away from the day thinking wow that’s very them two.
Any tips for brides to be?
Wedding planning can be very stressful and lonely time of your life. Even if you know exactly what you wanted like me. I still found it overwhelming and stressful. I felt through wedding planning you can loose yourself and also realise who in your close circle are actually there for you. So my advice would be think of what both of you really want your wedding to be and create that vision . Don’t worry about other people and trying to keep them happy. Essentially this is your day so create your vision and no one else’s
