How did you two meet?
We met at new years eve 2011 in a pub called Xtras, I nearly didn't go out as I lost my dad on the 13th of December but my mum forced me to go out bless her. I was struggling to get across the bar and Daryl being 6ft 4 put his arms up and parted the crowd to let me pass and that was where it all began .
When did you know he was the one?
I knew he was a good egg when he wasn't afraid to date me so soon after losing my dad, probably around 6 months in I thought he was a keeper.
What about the proposal, how did it go?
Daryl proposed to me on Playa Amadores beach with our then 2 year old son Thomas handing me the ring at the shore line. It's such a special place for us, I've so many wonderful memories with my dad on that beach. Daryl said it always had to be there. He wanted to propose sooner but covid meant we couldn't travel so he waited until it could be in our favorite place.
Daryl told me to stand at the waters edge looking out to sea so he could take photos, Thomas appeared at my side and held my hand. Daryl asked me what was in his hand and it was empty, he said look on the sand. I looked down to see a ring and Daryl said will you marry me. Thomas dropping the ring just makes our proposal story even more special.
Tell us about your venue and why you chose it?
We chose Thonock Park because the food is amazing and we think people tend to remember a good feed it also has beautiful greens for photos.
What was your wedding style/inspo?
Our style was our favorite colours navy and Coral and making it a day to remember making it fun for all. We had a selfie station, sweetie bar, foot long glow sticks and an incredible magician who wowed our guests.
Tell us about your dress!
My Elysee Etoile Sydney wedding dress, wow, what can I say!? As someone who doesn't have a huge amount of confidence my shopping journey with you two lovely ladies was a dream. I knew I wanted something fitted and an Impressive train was an absolute must. I didn't think I wanted lace but you put me in lace and I absolutely fell in love. I expected to be a nightmare and end up trying on ALL the dresses but 3 dresses in and I was in love. My veil was incredible my mum spied the sparkle and that was it we had to have it. I felt incredible on our big day and you played a huge part in that.
What was your favourite part of your wedding day?
We had such an incredible day it's hard to choose a favourite part. I think possibly finally setting eyes on my groom or going off on the golf buggies to take our photos just the two of us.
Any changes? (Things you wish you’d done or wish you hadn’t!)
We literally wouldn't change a thing we had such an incredible day, my mum had that good of day she wishes we could do it all again!
