How did you two meet?
Through a friend and then spoke on tinder - classic!
When did you know he was the one?
When he waited for me to travel the world for a year.. came home and he had waited for me! He even came to visit me.
What about the proposal, how did it go?
The proposal was perfect, he took me away to Norfolk for what I thought was a birthday trip. He organised a VW camper for us to travel around Norfolk.. when we arrived at our first camping stop my best friend and her boyfriend were there waiting for us with the champers in their camper van! He told me one evening he thought we should get up at 5.30 to watch the sunrise on the cliff side, so that’s what we did. I had no idea and he proposed with our dog at sunrise, it was honestly so perfect.
Tell us about your venue.
Our venue was near Palma in a mountainous village called Alaró, it is beyond stunning! We fell in love with the venue as soon as we saw it, rustic, natural and simply stunning!
What was your wedding style/inspo?
I wanted a beige palette with pops of orange for the colour theme and it worked a treat! My bridesmaids looked HOT!
Tell us about your dress!
My dress, well she was perfect! Grayson, I fell in love with her the second I put her on, she was just me! I had quite the dress journey before meeting the gorgeous ladies at Elizabeth Kate. I made a rash and quick decision on a first dress, which just wasn’t for me. I decided to go to Elizabeth Kate on my own to talk to the ladies about my worries and my hunt for a new dress. They were so supportive and exactly what I needed! Made With Love Grayson Wedding Dress was just perfect for my abroad wedding, the over skirt was the icing on the cake. This gave me two looks in one too.
What was your favourite part of your wedding day?
Highlight of the wedding day was the ceremony, we got legally married in the UK before our Mallorca ceremony. This meant our friend could marry us which was so, so special. Our ceremony gave me goosebumps, we loved every second. The views, the music and just seeing my husband to be at the end of the aisle was a real highlight.
Any changes? (Things you wish you’d done or wish you hadn’t!)
There is nothing I would change, it was truly stunning.
Any tips for brides to be?
My advice would be to live in the moment, take time to breathe and take it all in, it goes so quick and cherish every single moment and memory!
Also another piece of advice for any abroad weddings - we found the price of flowers very very expensive compared to here in the UK. We didn’t want a huge amount of flowers as we did not need this with the venue and the views. (We wanted bouquets and button holes but didn’t felt we didn’t need extra floral decor). We decided to ship silk and dried flowers to Mallorca, this worked amazingly well!! They looked gorgeous and you would never have known, it also saved us a fortune.
