How did you two meet?
Damon and I met when our schools merged together in 2011, we were only in 1 class together which Damon only ever showed up for once haha!
What about the proposal, how did it go?
We purchased our first house together in May 2021, we had organised to have close family and friends round for a little house warming party only a few days after we had got the keys (or so I thought) Damon had shipped me out of the house to get supplies in the morning for the ‘party’ only to get back home and realise it was our engagement! It was perfect and intimate surrounded by everyone we loved!

Our venue was everything we had dreamt of a more it was simply perfect. We decided to get married in Ibiza so we could have a smaller wedding and also guarantee some sunshine, we looked at around 10 venues on the Island and Elixir was the last place we went to and we immediately fell in love, there was just something so magical about it, we ended up booking our date that very same day! It was located looking out to the ocean so the views were absolutely unreal.
What was your wedding style/inspo?
Because our venue was nothing short of perfect we didn’t want anything overpowering for the decor, we wanted a simple yet classy feel so opted for neutral tones, Damon and the groomsmen wore sand coloured suits and my bridesmaids wore a very similar shade dress almost. We opted for white and green flowers to compliment the scenery and it’s was just stunning.
Tell us about your dress!
Ahh the dress! The most magical part of the process. I had a picture of Beau on my phone for months and months before I had even started trying dresses on, not many places stocked made with love so I opted to try on a few other options first. I thought I had found the one but just couldn’t say yes and the lady made me go and try Beau on before I made a decision, and my oh my am I grateful she pushed me to do that as that is when I came across the wonderful Elizabeth Kate, as soon as I tried her on it was a no brainer yes for me and the girls made it such a perfect experience. One of my close friends said to me on my wedding day after the ceremony ‘I had no image in my mind what your dress would be like, but seeing you now it is exactly that there is no dress that could be more perfect for you’ I was definitely the right choice for me.
What was your favourite part of your wedding day?
Everything, there’s not a single thing I could pick. Having everyone there that we wanted there surround by nothing but love and happiness. The whole day from start to finish was just a dream and went so perfectly and smoothly, it really exceeded our expectation and was even better that we wished for.
Any changes? (Things you wish you’d done or wish you hadn’t!)
Absolutely nothing, it was the most perfect day.
Any tips for brides to be?
Honestly, do everything you want to do, it’s your wedding day nobody else’s, don’t let other people get in your head, enjoy the build up and cloud out all the background noise, it should be the most exciting time of your life.
Spend as much time with one another on the day as possible, it honestly goes by so quickly.
Lastly don’t feel guilty about not inviting someone, have everyone there that you want there and not everyone else.
