How did you two meet?
We actually met at school in year 7. We dated a few times throughout school and we're now on our third attempt at this relationship...married with two beautiful girls and two dogs, so I'd say it's going well this time. Third time lucky eh!
What about the proposal, how did it go?
After our first daughter was born we went on a little staycation to Filey. Andy got down on one knew on the beach! Just us tow, our daughter Elsie and our dog Bella. It was perfect!
What was your wedding style/inspo? Tell us about your dress!
We knew straight away that we wanted a barn wedding, so my style was instantly 'boho'. As soon as I saw my dress pop up on the Elizabeth Kate instagram page, I knew she was the one. It's the first dress I tried on and I'd pick her again a thousand times over. If I could wear my dress to do the school run, I totally would!
What was your favourite part of your wedding day?
After re-arranging due to Covid, it was amazing to have all of our friends and family in one place with no restrictions, so I'd say that was my favourite part. Although a close second would be the singing waiters from 'The Astonishing Singers'. It was a total surprise for our guests so seeing their faces when the guys serving them their food just randomly started singing is something I'll never forget!
Any changes? (Things you wish you'd done or wish you hadn't!)
I honestly wouldn't change a thing. We had the most perfect day and we wish we could do it all over again.
Any tips for brides to be?
This is your day, so do exactly what YOU want! You don't have to include something just because it's tradition or the 'done thing'. For example, we didn't have a three course sit down meal, it's not our style so we opted for sharing platters during the day and a burrito bar for the evening from the incredible Annikas Apron. Don't be afraid to just be yourself and plan a day that you'll enjoy!
