How did you two meet?
So we first met in a (now non existent) bar called Bar Ritz, Adam said the first thing he noticed was my bum when I was strutting my stuff singing on karaoke haha! It was a few years after this that we got together though!
When did you know he was the one?
I feel like I always knew he was the one, but seeing how much of an amazing Dad he is just solidified it for me
What about the proposal, how did it go?
Just after covid we were on a little staycation and had just got out of the hot tub, he left the room, came back and got down on one knee and I thought he’d fallen over! I didn’t even notice the ring in his hand for a second!
Tell us about your venue and why you chose it?
Hall Farm is a gorgeous converted barn type venue, the low beamed, cosy ceremony room is gorgeous, but then you walked into the huge, vaulted ceilinged reception room and it is just stunning! We just loved it!
What was your wedding style/inspo?
We always wanted a relaxed, classic style wedding, lots of white draping, fairy lights, greenery and candles for the room decor, and gorgeous wildflower bouquets for the bridal party, I ended up doing all the flowers and button holes myself and absolutely loved doing it!!
Tell us about your dress!
I always thought I wanted a plain, satin, slip type dress - UNTIL I TRIED ONE ON! I went to Elizabeth Kate knowing I wanted an a-line dress and that was it, by the time I tried on the fifth dress, I KNEW! My dress was Aisha by Enzoani Love, Heather knew we were edging closer to what I wanted, and came up from downstairs with a wild card dress she predicted I would love, and she was SO RIGHT! The most gorgeous sparkly underskirt, beautiful blush colour, a pleated tulle across the bodice and finished with the most stunning, delicate lace details, I was obsessed! I worked with Holly and Kim and they made me the loveliest drop sleeves that were also made with pleated tulle to tie in with the bodice, and the finished dress was PERFECT!
What was your favourite part of your wedding day?
My favourite part of the day was going off for a walk with Adam and our photographer, to spend a bit of time just us away from the mayhem! And we also LOVED being last ones standing on the dance floor at our reception!
Any changes? (Things you wish you’d done or wish you hadn’t!)
I can honestly say I loved every minute of our day, but I do I wish I had eaten some of our evening food!! Everyone told me how delish it was but I was too busy with all the guests haha!! Other than that, I truly wouldn’t change a thing!
Any tips for brides to be?
Honestly just not to worry so much in the lead up to the big day, everything falls into place and no one will notice the little things that don’t go quite as you expected!! Also, soak it up because, as EVERY bride you ever speak to says, it really does go by in the blink of an eye!
